INTRODUCTION

Pokhara Tourism Training Center (PTTC) was established in 2053 (1996) under Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) to produce middle and basic level trained manpower for the growing tourism market of Nepal

PTTC is equipped with the required facilities for providing long-term and short-term training in all types of tourism related skills appropriate to the market. The center operates own restaurant and hotel to provide real work experience to the trainees during their training.

Within the nine years of its operation, more than seventy percent graduates are in full time employment. The center is non-residential and is able to provide training upto 150 trainees at a time.

PTTC, the leading institute in the western region will be contributing continuously the quality enhancement of the tourism services of the Nepalese tourism industry through wide varieties of Technical and Vocational training.

MISSION


The Mission of Pokhara Tourism Training Center is to provide globally employable quality training.
As being a non-profit organization, PTTC is committed to provide quality training with subsidized fees which enables graduates to get access to the overseas employment, too.

OBJECTIVES


The main objective of PTTC is to produce various kinds of basic and middle level skilled manpower for the tourism market of the nation.
Special objectives include:

  • To provide skill-based training continuously for tourism related subjects
  • To increase trainees' employment prospects every year
  • To promore local business by introducing appropriate new technological ideas
  • To offer highly trained manpower for the tourism employment market
  • To boost the Nepalese tourism industry and the economy industry and the economy of the country as well through quality service delievery
