Annex program is an additional program, attached to general high schools, which provides Technical Education & Vocational Training to unemployed and school dropout youths of the country through maximum utilization of existing physical facilities, human resources and school management. It is believed that Annex Program might open a strong option for youths to advance their career. CTEVT has given approval to 15 high schools to carry out the programs. The local School Management Committee (SMC) is responsible for the management of such programs.

The objectives of the Annex Program are to:

bring the TEVT program within the reach of target group with efficient operation.
ensure the participation of the deprived, underprivileged, women and disabled youth in TEVT program at maximum level to help in poverty alleviation.
optimally utilize the resources available at high schools.
facilitate the participation of community based organizations (CBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local authorities in TEVT programs.
minimize production cost of training and make it affordable for general public.
plan and implement training programs with local demand.
ensure the access of the needy people in the training programs.
plan training programs for upgrading the local indigenous technology.
develop entrepreneurship to minimize unemployment and underemployment.

Entrance Procedure of the Annex Program

CTEVT notifies the public about the course offered, name of training center and entrance schedule through national daily newspapers. Application forms are available after paying the specified amount. Written examination of Mathematics, English and Science are taken based on the course of class ten. In order to be qualified for the admission, the candidates must secure at least 40% marks.
